1971 Dodge Challenger – Black with Red Pinstriping over Black Italian Leather Interior
This is not just a car-it’s a masterpiece of modern muscle and meticulous craftsmanship. Built by Rods R Us in Carmichael, California, this Challenger is a fresh, show-stopping build with just over 100 miles since completion. Every detail was executed at an exceptional level, leaving no expense spared.
Powertrain:
Under the hood sits a Kenne Bell Supercharged 7.2L Hemi, stroked to 440ci, producing 575 rear-wheel horsepower on a conservative 5psi tune, built to handle over 1,000hp. Features include Manley 4340 forged H-beam rods, ARP pro series head studs and bolts, Comp Cams custom camshaft, Kenne Bell 3.6L Supercharger with water-to-air intercooler, and a FAST XFI 2.0 EFI system. Fuel delivery is managed by Aeromotive billet rails, A1000 pump, and 88lb/hr injectors. Exhaust is full-length titanium ceramic coated with TTI headers and 3″ mandrel-bent system. The engine is mated to a Mercedes AMG NAG-1 5-speed automatic with manual shift, built for extreme power with billet internals and tuned by Russell Drake.
Chassis & Suspension:
This Challenger rides on Budnik Spyder wheels, 19″ front and 20″ rear, wrapped in new Pirelli P-Zero tires. Suspension includes MagnumForce tubular front k-member, QA1 adjustable coil-overs front and rear, custom triangulated 4-link rear, and Moser 8.75 rear with posi-traction. Braking is handled by Wilwood 13″ 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers, with a dual diaphragm booster and stainless brake lines. Solid subframe connectors ensure rigidity for extreme driving.
Interior & Sound:
The interior is hand-stitched Italian leather by Dave Putnam, with full power SRT Challenger seats, custom red “Bugatti Veyron” stitching, push-to-start, SRT shifter, Autometer gauges, Budnik steering wheel, Flaming River tilt column, and Vintage Air Gen IV Magnum AC. Entertainment is a high-end 12-speaker Focal system with 2,500 watts of power, 3 Mosconi amps, and dual 13″ subwoofers, along with a Pioneer touchscreen with Bluetooth and navigation. Over $20,000 invested in sound alone.
Body & Paint:
Laser-straight body with flawless black paint, free of orange peel or imperfections. Custom rear spoiler, 1970 grille, 1971 taillights with sequential LEDs, Halo HID headlights, and custom engine bay sheet metal with smooth firewall. Every surface reflects thousands of hours of body and paint work, ensuring this Challenger turns heads anywhere it goes.
This one-of-a-kind 1971 Dodge Challenger is ready to show, drive, and dominate any collection. Cars of this caliber are extremely rare, and this build represents the pinnacle of modern Mopar engineering and classic style.
